In the submitted photo, Hector stands beside his kinder teacher, Mrs. Tinajero, whose supportive presence highlights the classroom culture that encourages creativity and confidence in early writers; their teamwork and the school’s invitation to the YISD Fine Arts Department’s K–5 creative writing program show how schools can nurture voice by valuing student work, offering feedback, and connecting classroom projects to larger community opportunities.
